Welcome to Rec Room Recording Studios. We are a Chicago area recording studio designed to fit almost any sound recording need. With spacious and acoustically balanced rooms, the studio is well suited for bands and solo artists, as well as voice over and podcast work. The recording studio features many analog classics from the golden age of audio recording, as well as the best in modern digital recording options, providing the utmost flexibility for projects in a budget friendly studio.
Located in Des Plaines, IL, just minutes from O’Hare, Rec Room Studios is convenient to city and suburb dwellers alike.

Tracking
Rec Room Recording Studio is the perfect place to track your next project. Featuring spacious, purpose built rooms, and a great collection of mics and outboard gear, you'll capture your best sound to ensure pain free and efficient mixing.
Mixing
Whether recorded here, another studio, at home, or any combination, we are happy to help mix your project. With decades worth of experience mixing pretty much any musical genre under the sun, we are ready to get your songs sounding their best.
Archival
Those old analog and digital tapes aren't getting any younger. Rec Room Recording Studios has a number of different tape machines to help you archive your older recordings to a modern format.
Rates
Hourly $60 - 2 Hour Minimum
Day Rate (8hrs) $400
Rehearsal in studio B $30 per hour
Outside engineers welcome. Please contact for rates.
Archival fees vary from job to job. Please Inquire.
Accepted payment methods include Credit Card, Zelle, Venmo, and cash. Session must be paid for before any materials are released.
Rates include full use of studio gear and engineer. Please inquire about extended block out rates.
Video Production and live streaming are available, from quick single cam shoots to full blown multi-camera productions. Please inquire for details.

RRS was founded and is run by Chicago based musician and recording engineer Eric Block. Forever chasing his obsession with sound, Eric has spent the last couple decades making records and and running recording studios.
